Yes. HydraFacial is one of the most universally suitable treatments available — it works for all skin types including sensitive, acne-prone, dry, and mature skin. It can also be adapted for those with rosacea.

The Signature HydraFacial covers cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration. The Platinum adds a lymphatic drainage step, LED light therapy, and customised boosters (targeting pigmentation, ageing, or acne). Platinum is recommended for more advanced skin concerns.

For maintaining healthy, glowing skin we recommend monthly treatments. For more specific concerns like congestion or uneven tone, an initial course of 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart delivers the best results.

The platform uses a patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system: a specially designed tip creates a vortex of pressure and serum on the skin surface that simultaneously dislodges debris and infuses active ingredients into the skin. It is this dual cleansing-and-infusing action — rather than mechanical abrasion alone — that distinguishes HydraFacial from traditional microdermabrasion or aqua peels.

A traditional facial typically uses manual extraction and topical products applied by hand. HydraFacial uses a medical device that combines cleansing, exfoliation, painless extraction, and serum infusion in a single, standardised sequence. Traditional facials remain a relaxing, sensorial experience; HydraFacial is engineered for measurable skin outcomes with no downtime.

Standard HydraFacial protocols are generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding because they use water-based cleansing, mechanical exfoliation, and topical serums applied to intact skin only. However, some serum boosters and add-on ingredients may be contraindicated, and your practitioner will adjust the protocol accordingly. Please always tell your practitioner if you are pregnant or breastfeeding at the start of your consultation so we can tailor the treatment safely.

HydraFacial is unusual in that the result is immediate and you can have it as close as the morning of an event. For maximum glow, schedule it the day before or the day of the event so the skin is freshly hydrated and luminous. Avoid scheduling any new add-on serums you have never tried close to a major event — those should be introduced at a routine appointment first to confirm your skin tolerates them well.

HydraFacial protocols can be enhanced with targeted boosters — clinical-grade serums infused at the final step of the treatment to address specific concerns (brightening, anti-ageing, hydration, blemish-prone skin, redness, etc.). Some packages also include LED light therapy and lymphatic drainage as add-ons. The right combination depends on your skin's current condition and goals. Your practitioner will recommend a tailored plan during your first visit and may evolve it across appointments.

Yes — pause retinol (and other strong active ingredients such as glycolic, salicylic, or lactic acid exfoliants) for 48 hours before your appointment so the skin is not sensitised. After your HydraFacial, allow at least 24–48 hours before resuming actives. If you are unsure, bring a list of your current skincare products to consultation and your practitioner will advise.

HydraFacial can be a helpful part of a teenage acne or sensitive-skin care plan, but only when the skin is in a stable phase — not during an active severe acne flare with pustules or open lesions, which is a contraindication. For sensitive skin, the practitioner will reduce intensity, skip more aggressive boosters, and focus on calming hydration. Your consultation will determine whether HydraFacial is suitable now or whether your skin needs a different approach first.

All three exfoliate and renew the skin, but they work very differently. HydraFacial uses water-based vortex cleansing and topical serums — no downtime, no irritation. A chemical peel uses an acid solution to dissolve the top layers of skin — visible peeling for several days, more dramatic results. Microneedling (such as Dermapen 4) creates controlled micro-channels in the skin to stimulate collagen — typically 24–48 hours of redness.
