Our Technology

Medical-grade aesthetic technology in London — InMode, Sciton, HydraFacial & more.

INNODERM is a multi-platform clinic. We invest in six FDA-cleared device families — Morpheus8 & FaceTite (InMode), BBL HEROic & MOXI (Sciton), HydraFacial Elite MD, Dermapen 4 microneedling, and the ZO Skin Health protocol — operated by certified clinicians under medical oversight. The platform behind your treatment is the difference between a result you can measure and a result you have to imagine.

Standards & safety

How we keep precision predictable.

Manufacturer servicing

All laser and RF platforms follow Sciton, InMode, HydraFacial and DermapenWorld service intervals — typically quarterly performance verification plus an annual full inspection. Consumables (BBL filters, microneedling cartridges, RF handpieces) are replaced on schedule.

Certified operators

Energy-based devices are operated by clinicians holding the Core of Knowledge (CoK) laser-safety certification plus manufacturer-led platform training. Medical oversight is provided by a GMC-registered doctor.

Single-use consumables

Microneedling cartridges, HydraFacial tips and any skin-contact disposables are sealed, single-patient and discarded after each session. Reusable handpieces are sterilised between every patient.

Patient screening

Every patient is screened during consultation for Fitzpatrick skin type, medication history, recent sun exposure and contraindications. We will recommend an alternative — or decline treatment — if photothermal or vascular risk is elevated.

Questions, answered

Technology FAQ.

Are the medical devices used at INNODERM FDA-cleared?

Yes — every device on our floor is FDA 510(k)-cleared (or holds an equivalent CE / TGA classification). We list each clearance number on this page: Morpheus8 K181109, FaceTite K181870, BodyTite K181712, BBL HEROic K200716, MOXI K203147, HydraFacial K131193, Dermapen 4 (CE Class IIa, TGA-registered).

Why does the brand of laser or device matter?

Aesthetic outcomes depend as much on the platform as on the protocol. Sciton, InMode, HydraFacial, and Dermapen are the most-studied, gold-standard manufacturers in their categories. Copycat machines (often sold under generic names) skip the clinical trials and the safety guardrails, which translates to less predictable results and higher risk of side effects on melanin-rich skin.

How often is the equipment calibrated and serviced?

All devices follow manufacturer-mandated service intervals — typically quarterly performance verification plus an annual full inspection. Consumables (handpieces, microneedling cartridges, BBL filters) are replaced on the schedule recommended by the manufacturer or sooner if a quality check flags it.

Who actually operates the technology?

Lasers, RF and microneedling devices are operated by clinicians who hold the relevant Core of Knowledge (CoK) laser-safety certification, complete manufacturer-led platform training, and work under medical oversight at INNODERM. We do not delegate device delivery to non-clinical staff.

Are these treatments safe for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI)?

Yes, but only on the right platforms. Morpheus8 RF microneedling, Dermapen 4, HydraFacial, and ZO protocols are safe across all skin types. Sciton BBL HEROic and MOXI require additional caution and lower fluences on Fitzpatrick IV+; we screen carefully during consultation and may recommend an alternative if photothermal risk is elevated.

Can I combine multiple technologies in one course?

Often yes — and it is usually the most efficient way to address layered concerns. Common stacks include BBL HEROic + MOXI (the "Sciton glow"), Morpheus8 + HydraFacial recovery, and Dermapen 4 sandwiched with ZO peels. We plan sequencing during consultation so each device complements rather than overloads the skin.

What is the difference between BBL HEROic and MOXI?

BBL HEROic is a BroadBand Light (IPL) device — it targets pigment and vascular concerns through selective photothermolysis. MOXI is a 1927 nm non-ablative fractional laser — it treats early sun damage, dullness, and tone with a gentler footprint suitable for year-round maintenance. They are complementary: BBL corrects, MOXI refines.

What is the difference between Morpheus8 and Dermapen 4?

Both involve microneedling. Dermapen 4 uses 16 needles vibrating vertically to create controlled epidermal–dermal channels, ideal for tone, texture and scarring. Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered up to 8 mm into the subdermal fat layer, producing collagen remodelling and measurable skin tightening that pure microneedling cannot achieve.
