They are different categories of body injectable with different mechanisms. Lanluma is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) biostimulator — it does not add structural volume directly; instead it triggers your own collagen production over 8–12 weeks, giving gradual long-lasting reshaping that develops over months. HYAcorp is a hyaluronic acid (HA) body-formulation filler — it adds immediate structural volume the day of treatment, with results visible right away and lasting 12–24 months. The two can be used together strategically: HYAcorp for instant structural change, Lanluma for progressive collagen-driven refinement.

HYAcorp is typically the right choice when immediate, visible structural change is the goal — non-surgical buttock augmentation where the patient wants to see results the same day, or when correcting a specific volume deficiency (calves, hip dips). Lanluma is the right choice when the goal is gradual, naturalistic, longer-lasting reshaping driven by collagen — patients who prefer "people noticing you look great without knowing why". Combination plans are common: HYAcorp first for structural reset, Lanluma added across follow-up sessions for collagen build. Your consultation will recommend the right approach for your goals.

Both Lanluma and HYAcorp are most commonly used for the buttock (non-surgical augmentation, "liquid BBL"), but also for hip-dip correction, calf augmentation/shaping, and reshaping after weight loss or fat reduction. Lanluma can additionally be used on the décolletage and the back of the hands for collagen-driven rejuvenation. Neither is appropriate for major-volume reconstruction (which still requires surgical fat transfer or implants).

Important regulatory note: neither is FDA-approved for body augmentation in the United States, where injectable body fillers are more tightly restricted. A surgical Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) uses your own harvested fat, transferred via liposuction-and-reinjection under sedation or general anaesthesia. It is major surgery with associated risk (the surgical BBL has historically had one of the highest mortality rates of any cosmetic procedure due to fat embolism risk), requires significant recovery time (4–6 weeks), and gives permanent results if the fat survives. HYAcorp results typically last 12–24 months depending on volume placed, area treated, and individual metabolism — the buttock generally holds longer than the calf due to less mechanical stress. Lanluma collagen-driven results last 24+ months because the new collagen integrates with your tissue. Maintenance is typically a top-up every 12–24 months for HYAcorp, or every 18–24 months for Lanluma. Combined plans benefit from this complementary longevity profile.

For both Lanluma and HYAcorp the procedure is delivered as injections through a cannula (sometimes needle) into the target body area under local anaesthesia. Total appointment is typically 90–120 minutes including consultation, marking, anaesthetic onset, and the injection itself. The body area must be prepared with topical anaesthetic; for larger-volume treatments, supplemental local anaesthetic injections may be added. You leave the clinic the same day with the area gently dressed if needed.

Expect swelling, firmness, and possible mild bruising at the treatment site for 3–7 days. For HYAcorp, the buttock should not be sat on hard surfaces for the first 48 hours. For Lanluma, the "5-5-5" massage protocol applies (5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days) to evenly distribute the PLLA particles and prevent nodule formation. Avoid intense exercise, heavy lifting, hot baths, saunas, and swimming pools for one week. Final results are visible at 2 weeks (HYAcorp) or 3–6 months as collagen builds (Lanluma).
