We use clinically established, MHRA-licensed botulinum toxin type A products commonly prescribed for aesthetic use in the UK (such as Botox, Bocouture, and Azzalure). All three contain the same active molecule but differ in formulation and dosing units, which is why brand choice is made by your practitioner after consultation — based on the area, your previous response, and your goals. Brand is never something the patient selects independently of the consultation.

There is no universal "right age" — anti-wrinkle injections are prescription medication and are appropriate when there is a clinical indication for them, typically when dynamic lines (the lines visible when you frown or smile) are starting to leave residual creases at rest. For some this is the late 20s, for others much later. Treating dynamic lines before they become deep static wrinkles is often called "prejuvenation" — it can be a sensible long-term approach but is always an individual clinical judgement made in consultation, not a recommendation we make from age alone.

Avoid intense exercise, saunas, hot yoga, and excessive heat for at least 24 hours after treatment, as elevated heart rate and heat can theoretically increase the risk of product diffusion. Alcohol is best avoided for 24 hours as it can worsen any bruising. Flying is fine after 24 hours. Your practitioner will give you a personalised aftercare sheet at your appointment.

The only visible signs are usually small pinprick marks at the injection sites, which fade within hours, and occasionally minor bruising. Common, expected side effects include small pinprick marks, mild redness, occasional bruising, and rare temporary headache — all settle within 24–48 hours. Less common: localised swelling, brow asymmetry that resolves as the product settles, mild eyelid heaviness in the 1–2 weeks after treatment (most often when frontalis muscle is treated). Contact us urgently if you experience: difficulty swallowing or breathing, persistent severe headache, unusual muscle weakness elsewhere in the body, signs of infection at the injection site (worsening redness, warmth, pus, fever). No. When the product wears off, the treated muscles gradually return to their previous activity level. Your wrinkles will look as they did before treatment — they do not "rebound" deeper. Many regular patients find that with consistent treatment over the years, residual static lines actually appear softer because the muscles have been used less frequently. Whether to continue treatment is always your choice.

Yes — this combination is often called a "liquid facelift" and is a routine clinical approach.
