Cookies Policy

Last updated: 19 May 2026

Overview

This policy explains which cookies and similar tracking technologies we set on innodermclinics.co.uk, what they do, and how you can control them.

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR, non-essential cookies require your prior consent. When you first visit the site we show a consent banner: nothing is set in your browser's analytics or marketing categories until you click "Accept All" or enable that category in "Customise".

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. We also treat browser local storage and pixel-based trackers as "cookies" for the purposes of this policy, because they perform the same role from a privacy standpoint.

Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off.

  • innoderm_cookie_consent (local storage) — remembers your consent choices so the banner does not reappear on every page.
  • Stripe session cookies (set on the payment iframe at checkout) — required by Stripe for fraud prevention. See Stripe's cookie policy.

Analytics (consent required)

  • Google Analytics 4 — sets _ga, _ga_VR5H0RWD1F and similar cookies to measure aggregate site usage. Retention is 14 months. See Google's safeguarding-data guide.
  • Microsoft Clarity — sets _clck and _clsk to record anonymised session replays and heatmaps. Form fields and payment inputs are masked at the recorder, so they never reach Microsoft. Retention is 90 days.

Marketing (consent required)

  • Meta Pixel — sets _fbp and reads fbc to attribute Facebook and Instagram ad clicks to bookings. The Conversions API sends a deduplicated server-side copy, with email and phone hashed before transmission.

Managing Your Choices

You can change your consent at any time by clicking Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page. Your choice is stored locally on your device, so you may need to repeat it on each browser or device you use.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings — search for "cookies" in the help section of your browser to learn how. Refusing all cookies will not break the booking flow, but it will prevent us from improving the site based on aggregate usage data.

Further Information

For information on how we handle your personal data more broadly, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
