The "10" refers to the maximum energy depth — calibrated for the thinner, more delicate facial skin where deeper-reaching settings used on the body would be inappropriate. The technology delivers fractionated radiofrequency energy into the dermis to stimulate collagen contraction and new collagen production. Both Quantum RF 10 and Quantum RF 25 use the same core technology but with face-vs-body specific calibration.

Different intensity levels. Quantum RF 10 is non-invasive RF — applicator on the skin surface, no needles, zero downtime, gradual course-based results. Morpheus8 is RF microneedling — fine gold-coated needles deliver RF directly into the dermis, more dramatic per-session change with 2–5 days of pinpoint redness. Quantum RF 10 suits patients who want maintenance-friendly, no-downtime treatment; Morpheus8 suits those who want more transformative single-session impact and are comfortable with the recovery profile. Both can be sequenced into a long-term plan.

Quantum RF 10 is well-suited to delicate facial zones where the non-invasive, no-downtime profile matters: around the eyes (peri-orbital area), the upper lip, the brow line, the jawline, and the neck. It is also used on the face overall for early-stage rejuvenation and for maintaining results from previous treatments. For more aggressive jawline definition or significant skin laxity, your practitioner may recommend stepping up to Morpheus8 or FaceTite for greater per-session impact.

Yes — non-invasive fractional RF is commonly used around the eyes for fine-line softening and skin firming, with appropriate eye protection and energy calibration. The peri-orbital skin is thin and reactive, so settings are typically more conservative than for the rest of the face. Patients with contact lenses are asked to remove them; protective eye shields may be used during treatment. Your practitioner will assess your suitability and may recommend a test patch first if your skin in this area is particularly reactive.

Most patients describe the sensation as a comfortable, sustained warming — like a warm massage applied with the handpiece sliding across the skin with conductive gel. The aim is to reach a therapeutic temperature for sustained periods rather than delivering sharp pulses, which most patients find well-tolerated. No anaesthesia is required. Some patients have a mild tingling or pressure sensation during certain passes. The 120-minute appointment length reflects multiple-zone treatment time.

A typical course is 6–8 sessions delivered weekly or fortnightly, followed by maintenance every 4–8 weeks. Results build progressively — most patients notice an immediate "glow" and slight tightening after each session, with substantive collagen-driven firmness building over 3–6 months as the new collagen matures. Patience with the course is important; single sessions rarely deliver dramatic transformation but the cumulative effect is meaningful.

The main aftercare requirements: avoid intense exercise and saunas for 48 hours; skip makeup for 24 hours; pause active skincare (retinol, AHAs) for 5–7 days; daily SPF 50 for at least two weeks; protect treated skin from direct sun.

Treatment is contraindicated for: active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area; pregnancy or breastfeeding; electronic implants such as pacemakers (RF interferes with these); metal implants in the treatment zone; severe or uncontrolled autoimmune conditions; recent sunburn or active inflammation; history of keloid scarring in the area; and use of isotretinoin within the past six months (impaired skin healing).
