Preparation for the treatment

    • Avoid sun exposure: at least 2–4 weeks before treatment;
    • Discontinue photosensitizing medications: consult your doctor, but generally 1–2 weeks before treatment;
    • Avoid skin irritants: 3–5 days before treatment;
    • Stop waxing or hair removal: at least 1 week before treatment;
    • Stay hydrated;
    • Avoid alcohol: 24–48 hours before treatment;
    • Remove makeup and skincare products;
    • Conditions like rosacea flare-ups, cold sores, or recent skin treatments may require rescheduling or additional precautions;
    • Wear comfortable clothing: choose clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area and prevents irritation post-treatment;
    • Your skincare professional may provide specific guidelines tailored to your skin type or condition. Always adhere to these instructions for the best outcome.

Aftercare

    • Avoid sun exposure. At least 2 weeks post-treatment, because your skin is more sensitive to UV rays, and sun exposure can cause irritation or pigmentation changes;
    • Keep skin cool. Avoid hot showers, saunas, or vigorous exercise for 48 hours, as heat can increase redness or swelling;
    • Use gentle skincare products: for 5–7 days after treatment, because harsh products like retinoids, exfoliants, or acid-based serums can irritate the treated skin;
    • Avoid makeup for 24 hours. Allow your skin to breathe and heal without potential clogging or irritation;
    • Avoid picking or scratching the skin. Treated areas may experience mild redness, flaking, or sensitivity. Picking at your skin can lead to scarring or delayed healing;
    • Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water and use a hydrating moisturizer;
    • Watch for side effects. Normal reactions: mild redness, swelling, or a warm sensation that subsides within a few hours to 2 days;
    • Call your Practitioner if you experience excessive swelling, blistering, or prolonged discomfort;
    • Plan Follow-Up Treatments. Rosacea often requires multiple sessions for optimal results. Your practitioner will recommend a customized schedule based on your skin’s needs.
