Indications for treatment
  • Pigmentation (sun damage, age spots, melasma);
  • Acne scars and uneven skin texture;
  • Enlarged pores;
  • Dull or uneven skin tone;
  • Tattoo removal (including difficult pigment colours).

Contraindications to treatment
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding;
  • Active skin infection (bacterial, viral, fungal, including herpes simplex);
  • Open wounds or broken skin in the treatment area;
  • Skin cancer or suspicious lesions;
  • Photosensitive disorders (e.g. lupus, porphyria);
  • Use of photosensitising medications / Use of retinoids, acids or active skincare
  • Recent isotretinoin (within the last 6 months);
  • Seizure disorders triggered by light;
  • History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring;
  • Recent aesthetic procedures (chemical peels, microneedling, laser);
  • Recent sun exposure (within 2–4 weeks) / Self-tanning products.

Before / After

Preparation for the treatment

    4 Weeks Before Treatment
    • Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including sunbeds);
    • Do not use self-tanning products;
    • Apply SPF 50 daily;
    • Avoid other laser treatments and aggressive procedures (peels, RF microneedling).
    1–2 Weeks Before Treatment
    • Discontinue retinoids (Retinol, Tretinoin);
    • Avoid active skincare:
    • AHAs / BHAs
    • exfoliating acids
    • benzoyl peroxide
    • Avoid irritation (waxing, scrubs, aggressive facials).
    Injectables / Other Treatments
    Allow at least:
    • 2 weeks after botulinum toxin;
    • 2–4 weeks after dermal fillers;
    • Inform the clinic about recent procedures.
    24–48 Hours Before Treatment
    Avoid:
    • alcohol;
    • excessive caffeine;
    • intense exercise.
    Do not apply:
    • perfumes;
    • fake tan;
    • irritating skincare.
    Medications & Health

    Inform your practitioner if you:

    • are taking antibiotics or photosensitising medications;
    • have taken isotretinoin in the last 6 months;
    • have a history of herpes simplex.

Aftercare

    Immediately After Treatment (First 24–48 Hours)
    • Mild redness, swelling, and warmth are normal;
    • Apply cool compresses if needed (do not apply ice directly to skin);
    • Keep the area clean and dry;
    • Use a gentle, non-active moisturiser.
    Avoid for 48–72 Hours
    • hot baths, saunas, steam rooms;
    • gym / intense exercise;
    • alcohol (may increase redness);
    • Avoid touching, rubbing, or picking the treated area.
     Skincare Restrictions (5–7 Days)
    Avoid:
    • Retinol / Vitamin A;
    • AHAs / BHAs / exfoliating acids;
    • Vitamin C (if skin is sensitive);
    • Any active or irritating products.
    Use only:
    • Gentle cleanser;
    • Hydrating moisturiser;
    • SPF 50
    Sun Protection (CRITICAL)
    • Apply SPF 50 daily;
    • Reapply every 2–3 hours when exposed;
    • Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks.
    This is essential to prevent:
    • Hyperpigmentation (PIH);
    • Uneven skin tone.
    Skin Response (Normal Healing)
    You may experience:
    • Redness and slight swelling (1–3 days);
    • Mild dryness or flaking;
    • Darkening of pigmentation before it fades;
    • “Frosting’ or whitening immediately after treatment.
    These are normal and temporary
    Do NOT
    • Pick, scratch, or exfoliate peeling skin;
    • Use self-tanning products;
    • Have other treatments in the area (laser, peels, microneedling) for 2 weeks.
    When to Contact the Clinic
    Please contact us immediately if you experience:
    • Excessive swelling or pain;
    • Blistering or signs of infection;
    • Persistent redness beyond 5–7 days;
    • Unexpected pigmentation changes.
    Follow-Up
    • Next session typically in 2–4 weeks (depending on indication);
    • Full results develop gradually over several weeks.
