Preparation for the treatment

    • Schedule a consultation with a qualified practitioner to discuss your goals, medical history, and any concerns;
    • Be prepared to provide a detailed medical history, including any medications you are currently taking, allergies, and previous surgeries;
    • Avoid certain medications: blood thinners (like aspirin, ibuprofen, or certain herbal supplements) at least a week prior to the treatment, as they can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding;
    • Avoid using retinoids or strong exfoliating products a few days before the treatment to minimize skin sensitivity;
    • Stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to the procedure. This helps with skin elasticity and may aid in recovery;
    • Avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours before the treatment;
    • Plan for Recovery: Set aside time for recovery after the procedure for a few days, you may experience swelling or bruising;
    • Follow any specific instructions provided by your practitioner, which may include additional steps tailored to your unique situation.

Aftercare

    • Manage swelling and bruising;
    • Avoid direct contact with the skin;
    • Gently cleanse the treated area with a mild, non-irritating cleanser;
    • Avoid scrubbing or using harsh products;
    • Use a gentle moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated;
    • Protect the treated area from sun exposure;
    • Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that may increase blood flow to the face for at least one week post-treatment;
    • Don’t use the saunas, hot tubs, and intense heat for a few weeks;
    • Drink plenty of water to support the healing process and maintain skin elasticity;
    • Refrain from applying makeup for at least 24–48 hours post-treatment to allow the skin to breathe and heal;
    • Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments with your practitioner to monitor your progress and address any concerns;
    • Keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms, such as excessive swelling, persistent pain, or signs of infection (like redness or discharge). Contact your practitioner if you have concerns;
    • Acknowledge that final results may take a few months to fully develop as swelling subsides and skin tightens.
