Mesotherapy is a technique developed in 1950s France that delivers small amounts of active ingredients — vitamins, minerals, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, peptides, sometimes targeted medications — directly into the mid-dermal layer of the skin via multiple very superficial micro-injections. The principle is local delivery: bypassing the digestive system and skin barrier means active ingredients reach the target tissue at higher local concentration than topical application can achieve. The cocktail composition is tailored to the indication (skin radiance, hair restoration, localised fat reduction).

We use established CE-marked mesotherapy products from licensed manufacturers — formulations commonly include hyaluronic acid as a base, with combinations of vitamins (B, C, E, biotin), amino acids, peptides, antioxidants, and minerals. The specific formulation is chosen per patient: skin radiance cocktails differ from hair-restoration cocktails or fat-reduction cocktails. We do not use unregulated bespoke compounding. As with all aesthetic injectables, the regulatory landscape requires the product to be CE-marked and administered by a qualified medical practitioner.

Different delivery mechanisms with different active ingredients. HydraFacial uses vortex-fusion hydradermabrasion to cleanse, exfoliate, and infuse serums into the surface — no needle, gentle, instant glow. Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels with fine needles to stimulate collagen and improve product absorption — minimal injection. Mesotherapy delivers actual injected fluid into the dermis using a fine needle (or sometimes a multi-needle pen) — deeper placement, longer-lasting effect per session, more downtime than HydraFacial. LED light therapy is non-invasive light exposure — no penetration. The four are complementary, often used in combination across a long-term plan.

A typical initial course is 4–6 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Maintenance is then once every 4–8 weeks depending on the indication and your skin's response. Skin-radiance protocols often see visible "lit-from-within" effect after the second session. Hair restoration cocktails typically need a longer initial course (8–10 sessions) before assessing response. Localised fat-reduction mesotherapy may need 4–8 sessions per treatment area.

Some immediate effects are visible — a brief plumping from the hyaluronic acid base, a glow from the vitamin infusion, and sometimes a mild redness that gradually settles into a fresher skin tone over 24 hours. The substantive change (texture, density, hair improvement, fat reduction) builds across sessions; single sessions rarely deliver dramatic transformation. We are honest that mesotherapy is a commitment to a course rather than a one-visit fix.

Expect mild redness, swelling, occasional pinpoint marks at injection sites, and sometimes small wheals at each injection point — these typically resolve within 24–48 hours. Some patients have minor bruising at one or two sites. You can return to work the same day for facial mesotherapy; scalp mesotherapy is similar. Avoid makeup for 12 hours, intense exercise and saunas for 48 hours, swimming pools and hot tubs for 48 hours, and direct sun for a few days. The aftercare list on this page reflects this.

Topical anaesthetic cream is applied 20–30 minutes before treatment, which significantly reduces sensation. Most patients describe each injection as a brief sting — typically 3–4/10 on a pain scale. Some areas (scalp, around the lips, the under-eye region) are more sensitive than others. The multi-needle "stamp" or pen techniques deliver multiple injections quickly with less per-spot sensation than individual injections. Most patients find the experience comfortable rather than painful.

Treatment is contraindicated for: pregnancy or breastfeeding; known allergy to any active ingredient in the planned cocktail (we cross-check at consultation); active skin infection or inflammation at the treatment area; current anticoagulant therapy without medical guidance; uncontrolled diabetes or immune-compromising conditions; history of epilepsy or seizure disorders; active cold sore outbreak near the treatment zone; and heart conditions or pacemaker (discuss with your practitioner).
